Phoenix Recognizes Vietnam Veterans
Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon and the Phoenix Military Veterans Commission recently presented this third annual ceremony to pay tribute to and thank these veterans for their courage and sacrifice.

Phoenix Convention Center Inaugural Event
Convention Center Director Jay Green officially opened the new center and welcomed the first delegates from Capella University by presenting Provost Karen Viechnicki with a ceremonial key to the building.

Phoenix Police Announce Capture of Suspected Serial Shooters
Phoenix and police officials today announced the arrest of two men in connection with a series of shootings and killings dating back to May 2005. More than 200 Phoenix police officers worked around the clock investigating more than 6,000 tips from residents who called in with information.

Read Your Way to the Ballpark
Representatives from the city of Phoenix, the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Arizona Republic recently gathered to kickoff this year's reading program for kids, where they can earn points for time spent reading and tickets to see the Diamondbacks play.

Serial Predator Billboard Campaign
The city of Phoenix recently entered into a partnership with Clear Channel Outdoor, the largest outdoor advertising company in the world, to display 12 large billboards throughout the city. The billboards, donated by Clear Channel, will feature Silent Witness messages about the Baseline Rapist and Serial Sniper.

Silent Witness Reward for Serial Predators Upped to $200,000
News Radio 620 KTAR recently pledged $50,000 to Silent Witness to aid in the capture of the Serial Shooter and Baseline Killer, a donation which brings the total amount of the reward to $200,000.
