Timetable

 

Before February 19, 2008
Review of draft application with Phoenix Office of Arts and Culture staff if you would like assistance with developing your proposal.

February 19, 2008

Final Deadline for submission of grant application.

Early April, 2007
The Grant Review Panels will meet to review and evaluate the applications. The panels are made up of community members, business leaders, educators, artists and arts administrators, each representing different points of view and various cultural orientations. Panels are chaired by members of the Phoenix Arts and Culture Commission. The grant Review Panels rank the applications using established evaluation criteria.
Mid-April, 2007
The Allocations Committee, made up of Phoenix Arts and Culture Commissioners, will meet to review the rankings of the Grant Review Panels. This committee recommends actual dollar awards based on the Grant Review Panel's rankings.
Early May, 2007
A Public Hearing is held by the Phoenix Arts and Culture Commissioners. Applicants and the general public can come and give their input on the review process up to this point. The Grant Contact is notified when this public meeting is scheduled.
Mid-May, 2007
Phoenix Arts and Culture Commissioners will meet to review applications, review public input and make funding recommendations.
Early June, 2007
The Knowledge, Economy, Education, Arts and Culture Subcommittee of the Phoenix City Council will meet to review and approve the Arts and Culture Commission's grant funding recommendations.
Mid June, 2007
The Phoenix City Council will meet to review and approve the grant funding recommendations and award grant funds.
July 1, 2007
Notification letters will be mailed to all applicant organizations
August 1, 2007
Notification letters will be mailed to all applicant schools.
