"The City of Phoenix Housing Department administers the largest Section 8
Housing Choice Voucher Program in the State of Arizona. Over 4,600 families are
provided affordable housing in apartments, townhouses and single dwelling homes.

Properties are owned and managed by private landlords. Participants
find homes and sign leases with the landlords. Rent is based on thirty
percent (30%) of their income, with the remainder being paid by the Section
