Devonshire
Senior Center offers five 8-week sessions per year. Each session typically
includes 45-60 classes and/or workshops in the following areas: Art,
Computer, Dance, Exercise and Specialty. We offer many classes year
round as well as seasonal and special-interest courses such as color
mapping, mosaics, pet CPR, scrapbooking, and lipreading. Go to Class

Tthe center offers 8-10 special events throughout the year
for seniors and their families, including the Tux & Tails New Year
Celebration, Valentine's Day Talent Show, St. Patty's Spectacular, Way
We Wore Fashion Show and Tea, ice cream social, USO Show, Deck the Halls
Holiday Celebration and more.
Weekly and monthly programming includes Wednesday Dances and Ballroom
Dance classes and dances, bingo, bunco, duplicate/party bridge, pinochle,
dart baseball, movies, day trips, mah-jong, etc. Please call or e-mail

Health
Services
Regularly scheduled workshops
feature health professionals who offer information about diet, exercise,
disease prevention and other health topics. The center also offers
flu shots during cold and flu season. Free blood-pressure screenings
are conducted twice monthly by retired volunteer nurses. Devonshire
Senior Center hosts the following support groups: Sight ‘n’
Sound (for individuals dealing with the loss of eye sight or hearing);
S.H.H.H (Self Help for Hard of Hearing, for adults dealing with hearing
loss); and Alzheimer’s Education Group (a referral and support

Volunteer Opportunities
The Center relies heavily
on volunteers for programs, activities and events. Volunteer opportunities
abound, from one-time events to weekly activities, to drop-in assistance.
Volunteering is a wonderful way to enhance the quality of life for
yourself and others: “We would love to see your smiling face.”

Los
Olivos Park Amenities
The 24-acre park features
covered playground, restrooms, barbecue grills and picnic tables.
Soccer fields and sand volleyball courts are available to the public
during non-league periods. Use of the park and amenities are on a
first-come basis. Park hours are 6 a.m. - 10 p.m.

Adaptive Recreation
The Center's TBig group offers
weekly recreation opportunities for adults with traumatic brain injuries. For information call 602 256-3130.
