Beginning August 11 through September 1 Paradise Valley Community Center will be closed for cleaning, painting and restroom modifications. No Human Services Senior Services will be available at the community center during the closure. No drop in recreation activities will be available. The facility will be open to accommodate previously scheduled evening classes and rentals.

Regular Hours of Operation:

Mon - Thur 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Fridays 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Saturdays 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

The Paradise Valley Community Center (located north of Bell Road, on 40th Street on the west side of the street) was established in 1989 with the purpose of providing recreational, educational and social activities for citizens of all ages.

Gymnasium: basketball, volleyball, and walking (16 laps = 1 mile)

Multi-Purpose Room: seats up to 300 people theater style, available for receptions

Teen Room: billiards, video games, foosball, teen activities

Active Lounge: ping pong, billiards, and board games

Passive Lounge: lending library, Phoenix at Your Fingertips computer

Volunteer Opportunities

Help with front desk duties, assist in classrooms or work at one of our seasonal special events. The Paradise Valley Community Center’s Executive Advisory Board is made up of active volunteers who work in cooperation with Community Center staff to provide classes and special events.

Specialty Classes/Activities

Over 160 classes are offered during four sessions per year in cooperation with the Paradise Valley Community Center’s Executive Advisory Board.

Now register on-line for all of these classes:
Click on the register on-line link, then choose "Activities". Choose the activities you are interested in to see the schedule. You may also search by location. To see PVCC classes only, click on the "Advanced Search" link, and choose the Paradise Valley CC facility, and click on "Search". Scroll down the page to see the complete listing. When you are ready to register, you must set up your account first. Choose the Your Account tab, and follow the directions.

Toddlers: early reading, numbers and letters classes, games and sports, arts and crafts, storytime, dinosaurs, science fun, drama and more!

Youth: Karate, drama, writing, drawing and painting and arts and crafts.

Teens: after school activities, teen room, video games, billiards and more!

Youth Dance: jazz, hip-hop and clogging.

Adult Dance and Fitness: Karate, belly dancing and Yoga.

Tumbling: for children, 3-6-years old.

Kid’s Night Out and Fun Day Events: special "night out" and themed programs just for kids.

Lunch Program: meals served weekdays at 11:30 a.m. by reservation, call (602) 495-3785.

Meals on Wheels: offers meal delivery for qualified individuals through Maricopa County Managed Care Systems, call (602) 264-4357.



Park Amenities

Softball (lit), soccer, basketball (lit), sand volleyball (lit), picnic tables, barbecues, playground, restrooms, skateboard facility, swimming pool and diving well.
