Sunnyslope Community Center is located on 8th Street, two blocks north of Hatcher, or 1 block south of Mountain View. The Main Building and the Gymnasium provide the community with recreational, educational and social activities for citizens of all ages.

People enjoy exercising at the Sunnyslope Community Center

Gymnasium: Basketball (leagues and open gym), exercise room, volleyball, game room, weekday morning senior exercise class and walking (16 laps = 1 mile).

Game Room: Located in Gymnasium, this room offers billiards, ping-pong and foosball.

Multi-Purpose Room: Located in the Main Building, seats 150 people theater style, available for meetings, call for availability and fees, (602)262-6661. Phoenix at your Fingertips computer is accessible from 9:00 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Classrooms: Seat up to 30 people, available for meetings. Call for availability and fees, (602)262-6661.

You can help with senior commodity distribution, or food distribution as a kitchen aide, senior program registration, or assistance with seasonal special events. If you have a talent you might like to share - the opportunities could be endless!

The center offers nearly 100 classes annually during our seasonal sessions. We have excellent instructors with quality experience.

Youth: Youth Dancercise, Child Care/ Babysitting Course.

Teens: Teen Club, after school activities, basketball, billiards, foosball and more!

Adults: Pilates, Yoga, Strength Training for Women, Country Line dance, and Basic Computer Instruction

Specialty Classes: Basic, Intermediate and Advance Dog Obedience along with Therapy Dog Training

Seasonal Family and Senior Events are offered throughout the year.

Sunday Dance - most every Sunday featuring a live, adult dance band. Admission is $3 per person, participants will enjoy an afternoon of music and dance from 1:30 - 4:00 p.m.
