Who We Are

A professional recreation staff that oversees a 15,000-square-foot facility where people of all ages, toddler through mature adults, can enjoy recreational, educational and social activities.

Located north of Bethany Home Road, the center houses an auditorium, classrooms, game and reading area, kitchen, lobby, restrooms, and staff offices. The community center setting offers leisure, educational, and social classes (non-credit, minimal fee, pre-registration required). Classrooms, game/reading area, multi-purpose room activities and special events for teens, adults and seniors.

Click on the On-line registration (left column) link to go to Parks and Recreation Online. New users will want to set up an account: Click on "My Account", choose "Apply for new account" and follow the instructions. If you have already received your ID and pin number, simply log-on in "My Account" , and then click Activities. You can either browse by the type of activities, or if you want to only see Washington Activity Center offerings, click Advanced Search, and choose the location, dates etc. click on search, then scroll down to see the complete listing.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES


The Washington Activity Center enjoys a productive partnership with the Washington Center Volunteer Association. Together, we offer 11 different activity committees that sponsor a variety of recreational, educational and social events. New volunteers are always welcome and training is provided for them.

Various professionals will present health topics for discussion. Bring your own lunch or purchase brown bag lunch for $2.
