NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING

PHOENIX ARTS AND CULTURE COMMISSION

CULTURAL DIVERSITY COMMITTEE

 

Pursuant to A.R.S. Section 38-431.02, notice is hereby given to the members of the PHOENIX ARTS AND CULTURE COMMISSION – CULTURAL DIVERSITY COMMITTEE and to the general public, that the CULTURAL DIVERSITY COMMITTEE will hold a meeting open to the public on Tuesday, October 7, 2008, at 4:00 p.m. located in the 10W Conference Room, Tenth Floor, Phoenix City Hall, 200 West Washington Street, Phoenix, Arizona.

 

One or more members of the Cultural Diversity Committee may participate via teleconference. 

 

The agenda for the meeting is as follows:

Call to Order

2.

Discuss of Diversity Initiatives

·   Possible Collaboration with Latino Perspectives Magazine for Leadership Development

·   Strategy for Dialog with General Operating Support Grantees Regarding Board Diversity Issues

·   Discussion of Diversity Goals with Arts and Business Council

·   Discussion of Festival Issues with Festival Presenters and Parks and Recreation Department

·   Joint Meetings with other Commission Committees

3.

Call to the Public

Consideration, discussion and concerns from the public.  Those wishing to address the Cultural Diversity Committee need not request permission in advance.  Action taken as a result of public comment will be limited to directing staff to study the matter or rescheduling the matter for further consideration and decision at a later date.
