NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
PHOENIX ARTS AND CULTURE COMMISSION

 

Pursuant to A.R.S. Section 38-431.02, notice is hereby given to the members of the PHOENIX ARTS AND CULTURE COMMISSION and to the general public, that the PHOENIX ARTS AND CULTURE COMMISSION will hold a meeting open to the public on Wednesday, October 15, 2008, at 4:00 p.m. located in the 12th Floor Subcommittee Room, Phoenix City Hall, 200 West Washington Street, Phoenix, Arizona.

 

One or more members of the Phoenix Arts and Culture Commission may participate via teleconference. 

 

The agenda for the meeting is as follows:

2.	Introduction of New Commissioners
3.	Approval of Minutes of September 17, 2008 Meeting	ACTION
4.	Special Presentation by City Councilman Tom Simplot
5.	Public Art Committee Report §    Artist Design Contracts for Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport Terrazzo Public Art Project §    Artist Design Contracts for Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport Automated Train Public Art Project	ACTION   ACTION
6.	Grants Committee Report §    Update on City Budget §    Proposed Revisions to Arts Grants Program Funding Priorities, Policies and Procedures	ACTION
7.	Committee Reports §    Written reports are included in the packet. No presentations are planned; however, staff and committee chairs will be available to answer questions
8.	Chairman’s Report §    Commission Committees §    New Commissioner Orientation

Call to the Public Consideration, discussion and concerns from the public.  Those wishing to address the Phoenix Arts and Culture Commission need not request permission in advance.  Action taken as a result of public comment will be limited to directing staff to study the matter or rescheduling the matter for further consideration and decision at a later date.
