NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING

NORTH GATEWAY VILLAGE PLANNING COMMITTEE

 

Pursuant to A.R.S. Section 38-431.02, notice is hereby given to the members of the nORTH GATEWAY VILLAGE PLANNING COMMITTEE and to the general public, that the NORTH GATEWAY VILLAGE PLANNING COMMITTEE will hold a meeting open to the public on Thursday, September 11, 2008 at 6:00 p.m., located in Classroom 101, at the Goelet A. Beuf Community Center, 3435 West Pinnacle Peak Road.

 

Note:

1.       Agenda items may be taken out of order.

2.       Anyone wishing to address an agenda item must complete a speaker card.

3.       Due to the time required for the number of items, the following time limits are recommended so that the Committee may give all the cases on the agenda the same level of attention:

·             Staff Report and Recommendation

·             Applicant: 15 minutes

·             Other Interested Parties:  15 minutes

·             Applicant Response:  5 minutes

·             Staff Comments

·             Floor Closed:  Committee motion, discussion and vote

 

The agenda for the meeting is as follows:

 

1.	Call to order.
2.	Review and approval of the July 10, 2008 meeting minutes.
3.	Public comments concerning items not on the agenda (not for committee discussion or action).
	RECOMMENDATION ITEMS
4.	Presentation, discussion and possible recommendation on PHO-1-08-Z-87-00-2, a request to modify stipulation 25 regarding percentage of housing to be one-story abutting open space areas, located between North Valley Parkway and the 6th Avenue alignment, north of the Jomax alignment.  Presentation by Stephanie Kinsey, CMX.    This case is being reconsidered by the Village Planning Committee.  It was originally heard by the North Gateway Village Planning Committee on July 10, 2008 and the Planning Hearing Officer on August 6, 2008.    The Planning Commission will hear this request on October 7, 2008.
5.	Staff update on cases recently reviewed by the Committee (not for committee discussion or public input).
6.	Committee member requests for information, follow-up or future agenda items (not for committee discussion or action).
		GPA-2-08 - Amend the City of Phoenix General Plan to rename the Natural Resources Conservation Element to Natural Resources Conservation and Energy Element and add Goals, Policies and recommendations to address the conservation of energy and the greater use of renewable energy resources.  This amendment also satisfies the state legislation that requires the addition of Energy Element criteria to the General Plan.
