The city of Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department offers low cost golf lessons year-round to Phoenix area youth, ages eight to 17 at the six Phoenix Municipal Golf Courses. PGA professionals teach all the classes, which typically last about a month. To register, individuals should contact the golf course in which they would like to play. Golf classes are halted in October to accommodate overseeding of the practice tees with winter grass.

Levels of Instruction:
Beginner: Six, 1-hour classes of instruction covering the basic fundamentals of golf with an emphasis on etiquette. COST: $25
Intermediate: Six,1-hour classes of instruction. This program requires certificate of advancement of the Introduction to Golf (Beginner) and covers course play, scoring, etiquette and course management. COST: $25
Advanced- Six 1-hour classes of instruction. This program requires completion and certification of the Intermediate Golf Lesson and covers on- course strategy, etiquette and rules. COST:$25

Registration:
If needed, all equipment is provided for the student during the lesson.

To help facilitate registration, download, fill out and bring a waiver with you:
Youth golf waiver

Please note: Youth will not be notified of registration, unless the desired class has been filled. If youth are not notified, they should consider themselves registered for the requested class.

Junior Monthly Pass Rules and Regulations
1. Cost is $30 for a 30 day pass.
2. Pass is good only on a space available basis.
3. Juniors with passes cannot make tee times. Strictly on a stand-by, space available basis.
4. Pass is good every day, all day, except on weekends and holidays prior to noon.
5. Juniors are cautioned to use golf etiquette on the course, driving range and pro shop.
6. Card must be presented to starter each time you play. No exceptions.
