Residents are invited to breakfast with Councilmember Maria Baier from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, at the Shadow Mountain Senior Center, 3546 E. Sweetwater Ave. This month’s discussion will focus on energy savings and alternative energy with special guest Ed Fox, vice president and chief sustainability officer, Arizona Public Service Company.

Baier also will offer August office hours by appointment at the Cowden Center, on the campus of John C. Lincoln North Mountain Hospital, 9202 N. Second St., from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13.
