The Madison on 16 Merchants Association, in conjunction with the Neighborhood Services Department, unveils the second annual Scene on 16 Street Fair, from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12, on the southwest corner of 16th Street and Bethany Home Road.
Join Mayor Phil Gordon and Councilman Greg Stanton, District 6, for an afternoon of free family fun as the city partners with local merchants to kick off an afternoon celebration.
“This street fair is a great way to see what’s happening in the area and just enjoy your weekend,” Stanton said. “There will be something for every age group, so take the time to come out and familiarize yourself with the local businesses, and, while you’re here, join in the fun!”
Fair festivities include live music, karaoke, police and fire demonstrations, jumping castles, arts and crafts, clowns, food, games and more. Beer and Wine also will be open, and Blue Bell Creameries will give away free ice cream and host an ice cream eating contest. Representatives from other city departments and Arizona State University also are expected to attend.
