| District 8 Staff Adora Lewis, chief of staff Adora is a native Phoenician. She received her master’s degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Arizona State University. Adora began her career with the city as the council assistant in the District 8 Council Office. She participated in the city of Phoenix Management Intern Program, worked as a management assistant II in the Personnel Department and most recently, she was a part of the City Manager’s Office, where she worked with several members of the management executive team. As the new council assistant and chief of staff, Adora is pleased to return to the position in the District 8 Council Office. In this role, she’ll resume the responsibility for managing the day-to-day operations and for addressing an array of issues and concerns from constituents, businesses and community organizations alike. Stephen Vital, research analyst Stephen was born in Orange County, California and raised from the age of 10 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. After graduating from Las Cruces High School, he enlisted in the United States Navy, serving from 1996-2000. During his active duty enlistment he was deployed to the Middle East and Southwest Asia amongst other port locations across the Pacific Ocean. As a research analyst, Stephen works with District 8 issues and constituent concerns in helping to assist the needs of residents and business owners. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Law and Society with an emphasis in Criminal Justice from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a Master of Public Administration degree from Arizona State University. Sasha Perez, administrative coordinator Sasha Perez was born in Tucson, Arizona and raised in the small mining community of Hayden, Arizona. After graduating from Hayden High School, she followed her three older siblings to the Valley of Sun, taking up roots in Mesa, Ariz. After nine years with Microchip Technologies in Tempe, Ariz. and some course work in Behavioral Science, Sasha decided public service was her true calling. She came to the city of Phoenix in 2006 as a utilities service trainee in the Water Services Department followed by a brief stint in the Tax Intercept Division of the Phoenix Municipal Court. She then made her way over to Council Administration, working for multiple City Council chief of staffs, which brought her to her next career endeavor, serving the residents of District 8 and Councilman Michael Johnson as administrative coordinator.
