Prepare your neighborhood for a winning season by attending Neighborhood Spring Training
Improving and preserving our neighborhoods is a team effort! Everyone plays a valuable role, whether a resident, a city employee, or a community leader, working together is the only way to ensure success.
In an effort to develop a winning team, and as a committed partner in building vibrant neighborhoods, the city of Phoenix will host our Neighborhood Spring Training event, free to the public on Saturday, April, 17th from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Maryvale Baseball Park, 3600 N. 51st Ave.
Join the Neighborhood Services Department, residents, community leaders and other elected officials for a free day of workshops, an expo, networking with other neighborhoods and fun activities for the kids.
Workshops will provide information on the code enforcement process, fundraising and how to gain business support for your community.
The Arizona Chapter of the Major League Baseball Alumni Association will host a baseball clinic for youth ages 10 – 17. You can register by calling 602-534-8444. You must hurry, because there are only 100 spots available.
The Parks and Recreation Department will have its mobile recreation unit with video games and activities for kids. The Fire Department will be available to talk with kids about the importance of staying fit, as well as take them on a tour of the fire department’s safety house.
Everyone who attends will also receive a publication recognizing “Neighborhood Home Runs.” This play book will include neighborhood success stories from across the city.
So, pack up the family and join us for a day of education, idea sharing, recognition, and most importantly, fun!
