Additional economy parking spaces now available at Sky Harbor
I'm frequently asked about affordable parking at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
Residents and travelers alike will be happy to learn that Sky Harbor has been working lately to make parking at the world's fifth-busiest airport as convenient as possible.
Specifically, because of the popularity of economy parking, Sky Harbor now has 1,200 additional $5 economy spaces.
How did this happen?
Well, the entire upper level of the Terminal 2 garage has been converted to economy parking.
What this means is that Sky Harbor now has nearly 8,500 uncovered economy spaces on the east and west sides of the airport. This is in addition to nearly 2,400 spaces in the east economy garage.
Travelers also will be pleased to learn that parking prices at Sky Harbor are among the lowest in the entire United States.
As noted, uncovered economy parking spaces are $5 a day. And economy garage parking costs just $7 a day.
Also remember that for added convenience, there's always plenty of parking available inside the terminal garages $1 per half hour or $16 a day.
If indeed you're going to park in one of the economy lots at Sky Harbor, the best thing to do is to call one of the parking hotline numbers before you leave your home or apartment.
The numbers are easy to remember: 602-273-4545, 602-273-4546 and 602-273-4547.
When you call one of these numbers, you'll be able to talk Sky Harbor parking staff who can give you up-to-the-minute information on space availability in all of the airport lots.
So give them a call and make your visit through Sky Harbor a pleasant and hassle-free experience.
