Councilmen Nowakowski and Johnson to Host Roosevelt School District Town Hall

District 7 Councilman Michael Nowakowski, District 8 Councilman Michael Johnson and Steve Gluek of the South Mountain/Laveen Chamber of Commerce will host a town hall for the families, parents, teachers and students of the Roosevelt School District at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, at the South Mountain High School Auditorium, 5401 S. Seventh St.

Roosevelt School District residents will join Arizona Sen. Leah Landrum Taylor, Rep. Cloves C. Campbell, Jr., Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Horne and Roosevelt Governing School Board members to dialogue about ongoing deficiencies in the school district.

“The future of Roosevelt School District is in our hands and we need to come together as a community to figure out how to give our kids a brighter future,” said Nowakowski.

The Roosevelt School District community is welcome to voice their ideas and concerns at the event, which will feature Q & A with state and school board leadership.

For more information about the event, contact Gregory Coleman at 602-262-7492.
